Do You Take Insurance?
Relationship Counseling/Therapy is not considered medically necessary; therefore not covered by most major insurance carriers.
This means we do not accept direct payments from insurance providers. We are passionate about your privacy and want to offer the most effective, compassionate, personalized treatment possible. In many cases this philosophy directly conflicts with the medical model of insurance companies.
Ethically, insurance companies should not be billed for the mental health concern of one person if you are coming for marriage/relationship therapy. There could be considerable consequences to the client/patient and the provider if an invalid claim is filed. An insurance company usually requires one partner to have a mental health diagnosis (i.e. depression, anxiety, conduct disorder) that will become part of their permanent medical file. This has could have lasting effects including (but not limited to) denial for life insurance. Some insurance carriers will cover family therapy where one person is the identified patient and all other attendees are there for the treatment of that person. True Relationship therapy does not meet the requirement of a mental health diagnosis required for billing insurance. Please check with your insurance provider and plan for more information. We provide documentation (a Superbill) monthly with all of the necessary information for you to complete a claim to request insurance reimbursement should you and your insurance company deem it appropriate.
Acceptable payments include: Credit/debit cards, Venmo, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) cards, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) Cards.
What Much Does Counseling/Therapy Cost?
Counseling is an investment. The decision to change your life and relationship should not be taken lightly and not be left to simply the cheapest option. Effective relational work is a short-term investment for long-term (and often life-changing) results with a clinician that you feel a connection to. Please consider making the best choice for your financial situation. The fees are as follows:

Can I request a Good Faith Estimate of charges?
Yes! Please contact the clinician you are interested in seeing for this document.

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 614-450-2870
